Mountain Perspective

I am a Pacific Northwest based creative nonfiction writer, poet, translator, and photographer whose work focuses on the relationship between people, landscape, and the social and physical systems that shape them. My work often examines the ways people inhabit environments and the meanings they attach to them over time.

My connection to this story comes from decades spent exploring the mountains, including two years working as a professional ski patroller at Cypress Mountain across both winter and summer operations. I currently work as a ski patroller and avalanche technician at Whistler Blackcomb.
